Hannah’s Healthy Diets

By Hannah Haver, Staff Writer

Over the course of the next few weeks I will be challenging various “health” diets. Not only will I be testing to see if they are successful, but I will provide a daily update about the side effects of each diet.

For the next two weeks I will be participating in a diet referred to as the “sandwich diet”. This diet consists of eating sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the only catch, you have to incorporate whole wheat bread, what goes in is ultimately up to you. The goal of the sandwich diet is to eliminate potentially fat-filled meals, replacing them with something homemade. By doing such, you not only have direct control over your portions, but you are able to see everything going into your body. This teaches participants to make smart, healthy choices. One important rule you must maintain when doing the diet is eliminating all of your sides. This means that you can no longer have potato chips or fruit with your lunch. To see the best results staying hydrated is important, so drink lots of water and exercise regularly.

If you’re looking for an excuse to lose weight and you love sandwiches I would highly recommend joining me on the challenge. By the end of these two weeks you may despise sandwiches, but if you follow this regime strictly, you might be able to get that summer body.
