Olivia Grissom is a sophomore and she is a part of theatre. Theatre is something that she loves to do and be a part of.

The Wrangler: Why and how did you become involved with theatre?

Grissom: “I just fell in love with [theatre].”

The Wrangler: How long have you been involved in theatre?

Grissom: “I’ve been in theatre since I was in sixth grade.”

The Wrangler: What is you favorite part of theatre?

Grissom: “I enjoy how close we all get as a family with each show that we do.”

The Wrangler: How would you describe the theatre program at GR?

Grissom: “You have to work very hard, but it all pays off because the shows end up being fantastic.”

The Wrangler: What play was your favorite to be a part of? Why?

Grissom: “Into the Woods because I helped with the set and the set looked amazing. I just fell in love when it was all done.”

The Wrangler: How do you balance both theatre and school?

Grissom: “I kind of focus on theatre [and then worry about school].”

The Wrangler: Who is your favorite actor/actress? Why?

Grissom: Jennifer Aniston because I just loved all the movies and TV shows that she has been in.”

The Wrangler: What theatrical play or Broadway show is your favorite? Why?

Grissom: “The Phantom of the Opera because that was the first show I went to go see with my grandmother and it was just so beautiful.”

The Wrangler: Do you plan on doing a career in theatre in the future? Why?

Grissom: “I always have since I was in sixth grade. I’m doing theatre, either writing, directing, or makeup.”

The Wrangler: What college are you interested in? Why?

Grissom: “Juilliard. There theatre arts program is very advanced.”

The Wrangler: What advice would give to people that are interested or want to join the theatre program?

Grissom: “Do it. It’s so much fun and if you join you will become so much closer with the people you work with.”
