The Longhorn Volleyball teams played host to the Foster Falcons Friday, October 9 at Longhorn Gym. The freshman team defeated Foster with scores of 25-8, 25- 15. The JV team also took down the Falcons with scores of 25-19 and 25-22. Both teams remain undefeated in district play with a record of 5-0.

The Longhorn Varsity Volleyball team defeated cross town rival Foster in 3 straight sets with scores of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-19. With the win, they improve their overall record to 31-7 and 5-0 in district play. The Longhorns captured their 21st win in a row. Kill leaders for the Longhorns were Valerie Valerian with 11, Kennedy Prince with 9, and Allyson Dernehl with 7. Block leaders were Mattie Ward with 6, Kennedy Prince with 5, Valerie Valerian with 4, and Ambrielle Logan with 4. Set assist leaders were Abbey Messick with 23 and Olivia Gray with 16. Dig leaders were Valerie Valerian with 13 and Audrey Tuttle with 12. Serve ace leaders were Allyson Dernehl with 4, Valerie Valerian with 3, and Olivia Gray with 2. Player of the match was #11 Ainsley Mandell with 6 kills and 3 blocks.

The Longhorns will begin round 2 of district play as they take on the Lamar Lady Mustangs.
