By Kob'e Hay, Staff Writer

Tommy Cook is a senior and is actively involved in our football program.  He is proud to be a Longhorn and  is looking for another state football championship.

The Wrangler: What do you like about football and why?

Cook: What I like about Football is playing with a team and creating a bond with my teammates.

The Wrangler: What position do you play?

Cook: I play outside linebacker.

The Wrangler:  What’s your favorite thing about playing football?

Cook: My favorite thing about football would have to be when a teammate or I makes a big play,  just watching the sideline get hyped makes the whole stadium excited.

The Wrangler: How does it feel to be a state champ?

Cook: It felt extraordinary to be a state champ, but that was last year it’s a new year and the team and I are fighting for that title again so not only us, but the new addition of players to the team can have the same experience we had.

The Wrangler: What are your goals for this years season?

Cook: My goals for this season is for me and my team to prove everyone wrong and show the world that 6A doesn’t change anything.

The Wrangler: What’s the hardest thing about football?

Cook: The hardest thing about football I would say is just having to remember all your fits in 1 week and to be confident about your responsibility.

The Wrangler: How big is your position on the field?

Cook: My position is just as important as any other position on the field without one you don’t have a defense.

The Wrangler: What do you want to do after you graduate?

Cook: After I graduate i would like to attend Texas A&M to study under the profession of being a vet.

The Wrangler: What makes you push yourself on the track?

Cook: What makes me push myself on the track would have to be my teammates.

The Wrangler: What do you to do before senior year is over?

Cook: That’s a hard one but I probably would just want to hang with all my friends before we all go our separate ways off to college.
