There is a national day each and every day of the year. Here are the national days of this week.

Monday: National Talk Like A Pirate Day.

This is a parodic holiday created by John Baur and Mark Summers in 1995. On this day each year is when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate.

Tuesday: National Punch Day.

It is listed as one of the many American food holidays. Punch is typically a red color and they only contain a small amount of  actual fruit.

Wednesday: National Pecan Cookie Day.

Thursday: National Ice Cream Cone Day.

Ice cream cones became popular in the late 1800’s in the United States. They were typically referred to as “little waffles” rolled into a cone shape.

Friday: National Great American Pot Pie Day.

This day was created in 2002 by the pot pie and frozen food company, Marie Callender’s.
