There is a national day each and every day of the year. Here are the national days of this week.

Monday: National Caramel Apple Day

Caramel apples are enjoyed by millions of people across the nation. This holiday is shared with Halloween because it is the most popular time that caramel apples are made and shared with family and friends.

Tuesday: National Family Literacy Day

This day was first celebrated in 1994 as the kickoff to National Literacy Month. This day focuses on special events and activities that showcases the importance of family literacy programs.

Wednesday: National Deviled Egg Day

Deviled Eggs are very popular for parties, holidays, and family reunions. The first known print reference referring to the term “deviled” in reference to food, appeared in 1786.

Thursday: National Sandwich Day

Sandwiches are one of America’s most popular lunch items. The sandwich is believed to be the namesake of John Montagu. Some of the most common sandwiches are Cheese Sandwich, Club Sandwich, and Jelly Sandwich.

Friday: National Candy Day

Candies come in numerous colors, shapes, and sizes. The Middle English word “candy” began to be used in the late 13th century. People use the term “candy” as a broad category that includes candy bars, sour candies, gumdrops, marshmallows and much more.
