The Varsity Lady Longhorns stampeded out of the dugout with an early lead against Needville and captured a 17-0 victory on Tuesday, February 12 at the Ranch.

The fate of the game was sealed early on with six runs in the first inning.  Ashley Kopps lead off with a triple to center field and Reagan Coss got on base with a fielder’s choice.  Sara Gonzales, Natasha Cabucio and senior Jaylin Baldrige all hit doubles, supplying the early offense for the ladies’ win over Needville.

The Lady Longhorns went on to score three runs in the second inning, followed by a whopping eight runs in the third.  Madison McDonald hit a single, pushing Stephanie Money, who hit a triple to right field, to home plate for yet another run.

Brittney Morse was lethal at the dish, with a record of 2-3 for the night. She drilled the ball over the center field fence for two home runs in the first and fourth innings.
Their next game is Tuesday, February 19 against Foster.
