Halloween Around The World

Not everyone celebrates Halloween the same as you.

Halloween is always a fun and exciting time of the year for many globally. However, everyone around the world celebrates it differently which makes it even more special. Who knows, maybe you will add some of these traditions into your Halloween this year.

In some areas of Latin America, Mexico, and Spain, the holiday Dia de los Muertos, which translates to All Souls’ Day, is a three day celebration which lasts from October 31 to November 2. The celebration is to honor the spirits of the dead, and it is believed that the spirits return to Earth and visit their family members, feast on delicious foods, and celebrate each other.

Romania is a country filled with rich history and Halloween makes it even more special. In Romania, it is called the Day of Dracula in which thousands flock together to go visit Bran’s castle which is located in Transylvania. It’s said to be known as the castle in which Dracula (King of Vampires) lived in.

In Japan, thousands of people dress up in costumes and come to see the Kawasaki Halloween Parade in Kawasaki which is right outside of Tokyo. It is a perfect time to be creative and celebrate this unique and fun holiday!

There are many countries around the world who have unique ways of celebrating this holiday, these are just a few of the many traditions.
