Freshman Maroon Football Defeats Foster

By Staff Reports

On September 25, 2013, our Freshman Maroon team began district play against Foster.  At the completion of the game the Longhorns came out with a win of 42 to 21.  The team overcame some first quarter hiccups and then got the offense going in the air. Antonio Jackson conntected to Quintin Morris for a touchdown and Chima Amushie added the two.  Jackson, again, connected with Morris for a seventy yard touchdown pass and then added the two by connecting with Kyle Curtis for the two.  Jackson pounded the ball in for the Longhorns third touchdown.  The second half saw another air attack with Jackson connecting with Morris again for another touchdown.  The offensive line did a great job up front and Brent Ugo pounded down the field for wo more touchdowns and a two point conversion.  The defense held off the Falcons driving attempt to end the victorious game.  The Longhorns will continue district play next week as the Longhorns host the Terry Rangers.
