JM: Houston Baptist University

JM: Journalism/Mass communication

The Wrangler: Why did you choose said school?

JM: I chose HBU because it is close to home so I can visit my friends and family when I want, it has religious practices which are extremely important to me, and it has great programs that are high in rating.

The Wrangler: What is one interesting thing about your school?

JM: HBU has a lake house that only sophomores and juniors can go to. It is like an elite club that you can get in to. It also has all sorts of fun traditions that you have to go there to find out!

MH: Texas State University

The Wrangler: What major are you interested in?

MH: Electrical Engineering

The Wrangler: Why did you choose said school?

MH: Texas State has an awesome campus with tons of things to do around town. They also have great social group activities and fun groups to join.

The Wrangler: What is one interesting thing about your school?

MH: I think people underestimate Texas State. Not only is it a great school, but San Marcos has many restaurants, night life opportunities, and social events.

MH: Wharton County Junior College & University of Houston

MH: Psychology/Biology

The Wrangler: Why did you choose said school?

MH: WCJC is super cheap, and a great way to get your basic classes out of the way. It also has some thorough educational programs with great instructors.

The Wrangler: What is one interesting thing about your school?

MH: People think because it’s a junior college it doesn’t have “big college” components. However, I’m looking forward to clubs and school events too. And when I get to University of Houston I can’t wait to be in one of the coolest cities ever.

MH: Steven F. Austin University

The Wrangler: What major are you interested in?

MH: Business communication

The Wrangler: Why did you choose said school?

MH: I like SFA because it is far away, and I am ready for a change, but still in Texas for when I want to visit. It also has one of the business programs in state with lots of internship opportunities.

The Wrangler: What is one interesting thing about your school?

MH: Steven F. Austin has tons of sororities I can join. I’m also looking forward to rooming with my friends and joining intramural sports and clubs with them like soccer and quiddich!

AV: Schriener University

The Wrangler: What major are you interested in?

AV: Political Science

The Wrangler: Why did you choose said school?

AV: I like Schriener because it is in the hill country, and because it is only 2-3 hours away from home. It also has a pretty high acceptance rate. I love that it is a private school because I feel like my political science program will be more extensive.

The Wrangler: What is one interesting thing about your school?

AV: I love the location of my school. It’s right on the Guadalupe River where you can swim, tube, and float any time you want. It also kind of secluded from city life, which means I can do fun things like go four wheeling and fishing. It’s so peaceful!
