The Varsity boys’ track team traveled to Clear Springs High School last week to compete in the Charger Invite. Outstanding performances were: Alex Sims who placed 2nd in the 3200 with a season best of 9:59.11. Jacob Adair, who is a freshman, won the pole vault with a season best and school record of 13ft 6in. The 4×100 relay finished 4th overall. That team was Reggie Solomon, Jarin Mcvea, Torin Marks and Fred Carr. In the 800m, Jacob Triesch finished 4th with a season best of 1:59.5. Alex Waldschmidt finished 4th in the 1600m with a time of 4:33. Kerin Martin and Torin Marks tied for 5th in the high jump with a jump of 6ft. The Varsity boys’ next meet will be April 15-16 as they compete in the 24-5A District Championship track meet.
