George Ranch offensive line

The Freshman Maroon football team traveled to Angleton on October 15th and came away with a 21-6 victory over the Wildcats. The Longhorn offense struck first with Jay’Ren Miller finding the end zone from 30 yards out and Michael Molina adding the extra point. The defense started out strong with Travis Lefall blocking a punt and Braden Turner recovering it. A lone defensive hiccup allowed the Wildcats to score making it 7-6. It was a stalemate for the rest of the half as neither offense could get the ball moving. The second half saw the defense back to their norm with a Treshaun Marshall sack for a loss. The Longhorn offense came out firing and Miller scored again with Molina adding the PAT. Ace Walker pounded the rock into the end zone for the Longhorns with another successful Molina PAT. Brandon Fikac would recover a fumble on the ensuing kick off to give the ball back to the Longhorns. Walker continued to pound the ball until time ran out. The victory gives the Maroon team a 2-0 record in district play.

The JV maroon football team hosted Angleton on October 15th and came away with a 26-12 win. The defense scored the first touchdown when Topher Hepp recovered a fumble in the end zone. Dylan Swain ran for 2 scores and threw a touchdown pass to David Fisher. Brandon Greer and Tanner Thornton were defensive stand outs. The win brings the Longhorns record to 5-2 on the season and 2-0 in district play.
