National days of the week 10/24 – 10/28

There is a national day each and every day of the year. Here are the national days of this week.

Monday: National Food Day

This day targets and aims to help people “Eat Real”, which is defined by cutting back on sugary drinks and overly salted packaged food.

Tuesday: National Greasy Food Day

It is okay to eat greasy foods every now and then. Greasy food includes: fried chicken, french fries, bacon, pizza, bacon and much more.

Wednesday: National Pumpkin Day

The oldest evidence of pumpkin seeds dates back to 7000 – 5500 BC. Pumpkin seeds were found in Mexico. You can enjoy this day with pumpkin cakes, cookies, pies, candy, muffins and much more.

Thursday: Navy Day

The Navy League of the United States organized the first Navy Day in 1922. On this day, we solute all the men and women who served or have served in the United States Navy.

Friday: National Chocolate Day

Chocolate comes from the seed of the tropical Theobroma cacao tree. This day celebrates all things chocolate.
