Warning to feminists: this will trigger you. I advise you not to continue reading.

First of all, let me tell you what feminism is, or the definition of it. Feminism is the advocacy of women’s rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men. Feminism has been around since the 1850’s, but over the last few years, it seems as if more women are starting to identify as feminists and advocate for the equality of genders.

But let me tell you something that you’re not going to want to hear. Feminism is unrealistic in our world. I know what you’re thinking. “The person writing this IS A GIRL. IS SHE AN IDIOT?” No, I’m not an idiot, and yes, I’m a girl, but a girl who doesn’t believe feminism is going to solve the lady issues of the world.

I know you’re also wondering why in the world I believe this.

It’s not that I don’t believe women should be treated equally with men, but feminism back then and now are two totally different things. In the past, feminism was women fighting for their natural rights because at the time they weren’t able to vote or even own land. Feminism now seems like women want to crush the patriarchy and never have a male as a leader ever again.

Feminists want women to have the same rights as men in politics. There has never been a female president, and the only woman who was getting close to being elected was under FBI Investigation for the email and Benghazi scandals.

Some Feminists also claim to want to be included in the draft. I don’t think women should be included. I’m sorry to kill your dreams, but women generally aren’t as strong as men.  Men are also physically stronger, and that’s just genetics. I’m not saying women aren’t strong, but imagine a woman carrying a 200 pound man, or even heavier, back to camp because he got injured. Can you even imagine that? As well, women have a chance of getting pregnant, unlike men obviously, making them less reliable.

Feminists also want to be equal with men socially. Honestly, I don’t think women would be able to be okay mentally and emotionally if we were. On a level, we are equal, just not to the full extent.

Some feminists are men haters.  If a man treats them kindly, like opening a door for them, they are offended, when in reality the man was just being kind.

Many women get offended when people assume they take the role of “house wife” because they feel as if they’re not accepted in the workplace. They don’t realize how important the role of “house wife” is. This role teaches children how to be successful and how to understand the world better.

Feminists also get angered by the wage gap. The wage gap is a way to compare the money earned annually between men and women, or another ethnicity. I do believe that women and men should be paid equally if they’re doing the same work.

I’m not saying that women aren’t fit to be leaders, and that they don’t deserve equal rights. I’m saying that this is a very unrealistic idea for women to be held to an equal standard to men when the world has been patriarchal for as long as anyone can remember.
