The varsity boys’ track and field team traveled to Katy High School for the Bubba Fife Relays on Saturday, Feb. 16.  The boys had a strong showing by finishing fifth out of 19 teams.

The boys had several strong performances.  The 4X100 relay team of Tylen Guidry, Joshua Okonye, Collins Kwabena, and Xavian Marks finished fifth.  The 4X200 Relay team of Tylen Guidry, Joshua Okonye, Stanley Ikegbunam, and Xavian Marks took home the silver medal and missed the school record by one second.  Jonah Font finished fourth in the 300 Meter Hurdles, Tylen Guidry took home the bronze medal in the triple jump, and Trevion Wyche took home the silver medal in the discus.  The day finished with the 4X400 Relay team of Ethan Yeaman, Ifeanyi Amushie, Alex Everett and Stanley Ikegbunam claiming gold medals and missing the school record by one second.
