The JV Lady Longhorn soccer team took on the Stafford Lady Spartans Tuesday, Jan. 29. Both teams scored early and often throughout the night. Colleen Janecek, Anna Clark, Sydney Heikkila, Ally Dernehl, Taty Herrera, Madelina Bares, Sofia Arreola, Kayla Finnegan and Hadley Perez all contributed to the win with a goal. The junior varsity girls head into district play with an overall season record of 6-0.

Varsity stormed the field against the Spartans and withstood Stafford in a high-scoring game for yet another win. Julia Linton put the ball in the net twice for two goals along with teammates Kathryn Thaxton, Lindsey Henrici, Sabrina Flores, Chelsea Snoberger, Danielle Martinez and Meghan Burger contributing a goal for the evening. The Lady Longhorns begin district play in Marshall with an overall 11-2 season record.
