The JV girls finished the first round of district play undefeated. The win against the Foster Falcons pushed their record to 11-0 for the season and 4-0 in district play. The Longhorns were lead offensively by Maddy Nicholson, Ally Dernehl, Colleen Janecek and freshman Cerenette Adams, who all scored a goal, and Justing LaPlante and Janet Avalos with assists. A solid defensive effort was lead by Madeline Bares, freshman Kendall Bess, Nora Harrison, and Sandy Morisivais.
The Varsity girls played in an intesne double overtime battle against the Foster Lady Falcons. The Longhorns held the Falcons at a 0-0 tie into the second ten minute overtime where they gave up a late goal to Foster off of a corner kick. Michelle Mills racked up 23 saves in the goal on the night for the Longhorns, while Danielle Martinez, Julia Linton and Raven Towns all put up strong defensive efforts.
This game brings their district record to 4-2 and 14-4 overall.
