Saturday, Feb. 23, the Longhorn band competed at the UIL Solo and Ensemble
contest at Dulles High School. They walked away with an incredible 131 first
division medals. The Longhorn band had more participants and more first
division medals than any other school in the region. The following students
advanced to State Solo and Ensemble contest in Austin during Memorial Day
weekend. Seniors Nathan Villasenor, Abby Platt, Nick Cockrell, Elise Lasker,
juniors Tristan Cortes, Trey French, Arturo Compean, David Kivinta, Caryssa
Burckhart, Katherine Haley and Celene Gandinc advanced to the State Solo and
Ensemble contest in Austin over Memorial Day weekend.
