The JV maroon baseball team traveled to Columbus to compete in the Columbus JV Tournament on Thursday. The Longhorns picked up two wins on the day defeating Hallettsville 9-5 and Needville 6-0. Kevin Kopps picked up the win striking out 8 batters over four innings in the first game. Cole Morgan and Sarah Hudek combined for 7 strike outs over 6 innings pitching a no hitter in the second game of the day. Mitchell North, Zach Robinson, Kevin Kopps, and Josh Biles all had multipe hits on the day, with Mitchell North leading scoring effort with 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored. The team travels to Columbus to compete in the tournament championship on Saturday at 5:30.
