Confusion. Fear. Tears. A family in Liberty County has lost two horses from gunshots in the past two months.

On the family’s ranch in Liberty County, two horses have been shot in the head in the past two months.

According to KPRC, Camie Brock received a phone call from her son on Monday, saying Sunshine was shot and bleeding. Brock said when she got home, her daughter’s horse was still warm.

Brock’s daughter, Arian, understands what has happened to her second horse. She just doesn’t understand why.

The daughter named the horse Sunshine in January after it got delivered from a rescue group. The horse was donated to her after her first horse, Sonny, was shot and killed in December.

According to KPRC, Brock would like whoever is killing her animals to be put in jail. Her family is offering a $1,000 reward leading to that person’s conviction. Brock said that person doesn’t need to harm another defenseless animal.
