The JV maroon baseball team defeated Angleton in its district opener by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday, March 5. Kevin Kopps pitched 6 innings giving up only one run and recording 5 strikeouts. Sarah Hudek closed the game out in the 7th inning facing four batters and striking out three. Josh Balba led the Longhorns offensively hitting 3 for 3, including a hit in the 5th inning that drove in what turned out to be the game winning run. The team will continue play at the LCISD JV baseball tournament.
