Wide Receiver, Chima Amushie, moving the chains for the Longhorns

The Freshman Maroon Team traveled to Fort Bend Austin Friday, August 30 to take on the Bulldogs to begin the 2013 season. The Longhorns came away with a 38-0 win to start off on the right foot. The first touchdown came on an Antonio Jackson pass to Quinton Morris for six. The next touchdown saw Jackson walking into the endzone with a strong push by the offensive line. With the score 12-0, Jackson finds Morris again for a 50 yard touchdown pass. The first two point conversion came from a Chima Amushie run after a Brent Ugo touchdown. With the score 26-0, CJ Rubio added another six. A lateĀ fourth quarter touchdown by Ugo left the Longhorns with their final score of 38. The whole defense did an outstanding job posting the shutout and was led by Brad Armstrong who had several tackles for a loss and a sack, Dawson Hawkins who had an interception, and Christian Macias who had several strong tackles.
