Great Start to District Play for Freshman Black Football

The Freshman Black football team started their district run by defeating the

Foster Falcons 26-6. Special teams was the key to the victory. They were led by

 kicker Sergio Martinez who kept the birds pinned all night. He also

contributed by getting a touchdown reception from quarterback Trenton

Harrell. Harrell also had a rushing touchdown and a second touchdown pass to

receiver Champion Allison. The rushing leader of the night was Alex Fontenot

who also added a touchdown. The defense was led by Colton Turner, Kent

Poynter and Samuel Barnes. The defense was able to keep the Falcons on their

heels most of the night. The Longhorns will square off against the Rangers next

week.
