China is currently suffering from an unknown virus outbreak. According to a CNN article, this virus has led to the death of 17 people and the infection of 547 people. The virus is known to be a coronavirus, a type of virus that affects the respiratory tract. The lungs are a major site for the infection, and it can lead to death. The virus causes pneumonia-like symptoms and can be spread from human contact.

Scientists believe that the virus originates at a seafood market in Wuhan, China. Chinese officials are now advising people to not travel to Wuhan, China due to the outbreak. Chinese officials are worried mainly because millions of people are expected to travel to China for the upcoming Lunar New Year starting February 1st through the 8th. The city has now locked down all transportation to other cities.

According to Healix International, a group of companies that provide healthcare and risk management, they believe that travel is going to soon spread the virus and it could be popping up in cities all around the world.

The virus has already started to spread to other countries. These include Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, and even the first case in the United States. As of January 21st, a man in Washington State has been diagnosed with the Wuhan virus. The man is a US resident who has recently traveled to Wuhan, China.
