After a six year hiatus from music, Adele released her new single, Easy on Me, to tease her first album in six years called 30.

Adele’s albums for the past 13 years have all been stories of her life as she continued to age from 19, 21, and 25, and she is making a collective group of songs in order to covey the lessons she has learned in her early 30’s.

Adele’s new album,  which is planned to be released on November 20 of this year, is rumored to feature important and highly personal topics such as her divorce from businessman, Simon Konecki (whom she was married to from 2016 to 2021), her efforts to keep her marriage together for the sake of her son, and her hesitance to step into a new era of her love life.

In her new single from her album, Easy on Me, Adele talks about her hesitance to find love again after she indicates that her last marriage was tarnished by her immaturity when it comes to love. She begs her new partner in her song to be patient with her as she steps into a new era of love for herself.

“Go easy on me, baby I was still a child Didn’t get the chance to feel the world around me I had no time to choose what I chose to do So go easy on me.”

In this song Adele also references her slight regret for marrying and having her child at the young age of 24, when she didn’t have much life experience.

Adele’s music video to this song is a continuation of her Hello music video which features the moment when she realized her marriage was over. He music video for Hello is dark, eerie, and has many scenes of a couple fighting in their own home. In the Easy On Me music video, the setting presents an empty house with several piles of messy house items.

Adele plans to release her album on November 19, and it will have a total of 12 songs. Only time will tell the success of the album, but due to the positive reactions of her first music video, high amounts of success are expected.
