The Museum of Fine Arts Houston is an experience for anyone looking to explore Houston. It consists of three buildings with underground tunnels connecting them all together.
The main building consists of sculptures dating back to ancient Rome and Greece, as well as, paintings from the Victorian era. The attention to detail in these paintings are nothing short of amazing. From religious depictions to still lives and the use of pointillism, this museum has it all.
The modern/contemporary building houses countless sculptures and abstract paintings from artists such as Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali. Anyone could spend hours admiring the intricate details and interesting facts about the different artworks this building has to offer. This building is also home to the museums café. Though a little pricey, the food is quality and you definitely get what you pay for.
Overall the Museum of fine Arts Houston is a great place to visit if you enjoy art and art history. From 15 century renaissance paintings to modern day sculptures, there is something for everyone to enjoy at this museum.
