It’s finally here!

The Big Game a/k/a Super Bowl LVII will be played Sunday, February 12th, 2023, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The two teams meeting in Arizona, the Philadelphia Eagles and none other than the Kansas City Chiefs.  Let’s go in depth and meet these two pro football juggernauts.

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the San Francisco 49ers to advance to the Super Bowl.  Led by QB and MVP candidate, Jalen Hurts, the Eagles cruised to a 14-3 regular season record granting them the number one seed going into the NFC Playoffs.  That win earned the Eagles a first- round bye and a division matchup against the New York Giants in the second round. They took care of business, beating the Giants 38-7. This win put them in the NFC Championship where they would take on the injury-riddled San Francisco 49ers. The Eagles defense shut down the ‘Niners after QB Brock Purdy was sidelined with an arm injury. The Eagles now take on their toughest challenge yet in the Kansas City Chiefs.

Talking about the Chiefs, let’s look at their road to Arizona. Just like the Eagles, Kansas City finished the regular season 14-3 thanks to MVP Frontrunner, Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs earned the number one seed in the AFC and got the first-round bye. This meant they would take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round. The Chiefs would win in a tighter affair than expected, 27-20 booking a matchup with the Cincinnatti Bengals in the AFC Championship. The Chiefs would come out to an early lead, but Joe Burrow mounted a insane comeback. With the game tied 20-20, Kicker Harrison Butker, would trot out to attempt the game-winning field goal. He would drill the 45-yarder and send the Chiefs to the Super Bowl.

So now we’re here. Chiefs… Eagles… with a spot in the NFL history books on the line; the players with a chance to have their names written among the stars. This is it. Who wins?

My prediction… Chiefs 31-28.
