It’s no secret that George Ranch High School football has been blazing trails since its beginning. In just two years, the program has become widely known as one of the strongest up-and-coming teams in the state. Coach Tullos, head coach, recently received one of the highest honors from Dave Campbell’s Texas Football: Coach of the Year. This season, varsity averaged over 40 points a game, and racked up thirteen wins with only one loss. In addition to that impressive record, the team advanced to the quarterfinals, a feat that can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of Coach Tullos.

“I am very honored to be named Coach of the Year,” Tullos said. “This award is truly a team effort, without our kids, coaches, and community support, this achievement would not have been possible.”

Tullos truly embodies the spirit of George Ranch. Senior Tsola Efejuku has worked with him for the last two years, and has nothing but kind words about his coach.

“I truly believe he has only made the team better each year,” Efejuku said. “He brings enthusiasm and passion that drives us as players.”

“I am looking forward to the challenge of building on the success we have set,” Tullos said. George Ranch football definitely has the drive to become a state name, and the team cannot wait until next year.
