In case you missed it, the Longhorn Baseball team is your Region 3 Champs, and they are heading to State in Round Rock. After their dramatic win on Thursday night at Constellation Field, the Longhorns traveled to Brenham on Saturday to finish the sweep of the Regional Finals by a score of 8-2. Kevin Kopps pitched the complete game allowing 4 hits while striking out 8. The bats came alive up and down the lineup. 2 of 3 hits for Kyle Owen and Garrett Gray were doubles, while Cam Boudreaux contributed 1 double on his 2 hits. Stone Garrett and Will Gay each had 3 hits with Grant Page and Jon Kastens contributing 2 each. The Longhorns travel to the State Semifinal game this Thursday against Victoria East with a game time of 4:00pm. The winner of that game will compete in the State Final set for Friday at 7:00pm. All games will be held at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock. We look forward to seeing “the loudest, hardest-working fan group in high school sports, The Ranch Rowdies” at the game on Thursday.
