Eat Your Way to a Healthy Body

The winter is here and has brought the delicious holiday desserts and warm meals with it. Of course the holiday feasts were wonderful but the calories and after math is not exactly as wonderful. These hot meals have the name “bundle foods” not only because they warm us up during the cold weather but because we bundle up with the few extra pounds that are the result; hot cocoa with whip cream, hot fudge with brownies, and a hot casserole for dinner are some of the most favored bundle foods with temptations on cold winter days. Temptations usually lead to giving in, especially when it is chocolate or a hot fudge brownie, and then the guilt sinks in making us want to earn redemption. Then we end up running or doing a few exercises that lead us to think the question, “why did I ever eat that second serving of casserole?”

Many do not find running in cold weather with minimal breathing ability to be worth it; and so as a substitute we usually end up doing some crunches or push-ups and call it a day. I am sure that you are well aware that while you are burning calories and yes, you are building muscles but the reason why you are doing those push-ups is because you do not want to run in forty degree weather to redeem yourself from the extra couple brownies. There are many beneficial exercises to burning calories and many meals with less sodium and fewer calories that still warm you up in the winter.

Here are some inside workouts to burn off those calories
