Things To Do During Christmas Break

If you find yourself sitting at home bored, out of any good Christmas movies to watch, here are some activities that will get you out of the house and in the Christmas spirit:

  1. Zoo Lights: Over two million lights and only under one month left. Nature and Christmas will meet in this bright, dazzling display of holiday lights.   2. Discovery Green: Feel like you’re actually in a cold place outside of Texas with an outdoor ice skating rink at Discovery Green. The ICE at Discovery Green Park is the largest outdoor skating rink in the Southwest and is open through winter break until February 8.   3. The Radio City Christmas Spectacular: The world-renowned Rockettes come from NYC to the Hobby Center for Performing Arts in Houston with a brand new show featuring their signature dance performing style with various sets and costumes to light up your Christmas.   4. The Nutcracker: Always a classic, The Nutcracker is performed by the Houston Ballet at Wortham Theatre. It is regarded by many as one of the most delightful traditions of the Christmas season.   5. Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol: The Christmas tale of all generations. Go enjoy a family favorite performance of Scrooge’s adventures through Christmas past, present, and future at the Alley Theatre at the University of Houston.   6. The Houston Symphony: Get your fill of Christmas music this December! Check out the incredible Houston Symphony as they offer special Christmas performances for all the music lovers.
