The George Ranch speech and debate team won the 5th place sweepstakes award at the Houston Lamar Invitational. Outstanding participants included Aisha Sheik who placed in the top eight in Lincoln Douglass debate and qualified for the state competition in May. Morgan Lindsey finaled in Dramatic Interpretation and earned second place with her partner Peyton Heussner  in Duo Interpreatation, Ashley Coffman placed second in Dramatic Interpretation. Alejandro Rodrigues and Joshua Cheru finaled in Impromptu and Original Oratory respectively.
