Donald Trump isn’t the answer

Donald Trump running for president should be an insult to the intelligence of the American people. The man is an absolute clown, yet is somehow leading in a large amount of polls. What does that say about the American people if they’re willing to so much as entertain the idea of Donald Trump in the White House?

Trump actually suggested building a wall along the US Mexican border and forcefully deporting 11 million illegal immigrants. Anyone with just the slightest amount of common sense realizes how absurd this is. The cost of such an operation would be through the roof, and spending such an insane amount of money on this while their party advocates for lowering the US debt is ridiculous. Furthermore, the United States doesn’t have the man power to deport 11 million people. Even on an unlimited budget it would be a serious challenge, and factoring in our financial situation, it’s a joke.

He is volatile, aggressive and senseless,

That plan is frustrating, but in a general sense, Trump is a buffoon. He doesn’t treat anyone with the slightest bit of respect. Just look at his demeanor during debates or his interviews. He takes personal shots at people rather than debating the issues. He deliberately avoids questions and was caught lying in the last debate after Jeb Bush called him out on his attempt to get casinos in Florida. One of the opening questions of the most recent debate was do you trust Donald Trump with the nuclear launch codes? The candidates avoided the question because that’s what politicians do, but as citizens, I think we all know that the answer is no. He is volatile, aggressive and senseless, which are all traits America’s leader simply cannot have in foreign policy.

Now let’s move onto the economy, where Trump is supposedly the country’s savior. He somehow managed to bankrupt his business not once, not twice, not three times but four times. I’m no expert, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say managing a country’s economy is more difficult than managing a business. Why on earth would we elect someone to “fix” the economy if they can’t even fix their own businesses?

I get that America wants change. I get the fatigue with career politicians. I get that seeing a candidate be so abrupt and brash is entertaining, but that’s all Trump should be. Entertainment.
