Freshman Black Football Overcomes Late Rally to Defeat Angleton 28-22

The Freshman Black Football team continued their undefeated season last night, October 10, against the Angleton Wildcats with a score of 28-22.  It was a defensive battle in the first half with the game tied 6-6 at the half.  The Longhorns came out strong in the third quarter,  increasing the score to 28-6.  The Cats made a Late rally to get close but the Longhorns held them off.  The offense was led by number 16 Champion Allison’s three contributing touchdowns.  Samuel Barnesalso added a points to the score board.  Spencer Schultz, number 10, took the feild as quarterback after an injury knocked out the starter; Schultz was key in defeating the Cats.  The defense was led by Dandy Mibidoaka’s four tackles for loss and forced fumble. Kent Poynter also added two tackles for loss and Jackson Figenshaw had an interception.
