Tragedy Strikes Fort Bend ISD

Bush High School student found dead.

Students and teachers at Bush High School in Fort Bend ISD mourn the homicide of 17-year-old Jason Montes. 

Authorities stated that on Thursday, January 24th, students from Bush High School were walking home from school when they spotted the young man’s body near the bayou on FM 1464 and Bellaire Boulevard. The students called the police as soon as possible and investigation started. 

It wasn’t until Friday evening that authorities were able to identify the young man. Montes was found with a gunshot wound to the back and half naked. It is unsure if the gunshot was his cause of death or why he was killed. The investigation is still ongoing.  

Montes’ family has created a Go Fund Me account to help with funeral funds. His family and close friends held a vigil Sunday, January 27th near the site where he was found. and set down flowers, balloons, candles and letters.
