The Rockets lost April 30, making the series 2-0 in favor of the Warriors. During the first quarter, Steph Curry went back to the locker room with an apparent finger injury. Not long after Curry left the game, James Harden went back to the locker room,  holding his eyes, after a collision with Draymond Green. While Harden was in the locker room Steph came back with a splint on his finger. At this point, as a Rockets fan, I was very nervous about the future of this series. If Steph is back and Harden is seriously hurt, this could be the end of our playoff chances. But just as all hope seemed lost, the MVP, James Harden, came out of the tunnel with a towel over his eye. His eyes were blood red, and after the game, during the press conference, he said “I couldn’t see nothing. They put a couple of drops in to help it and numb it a little bit. All the lights were blurry.”

Harden ended the game with 29 points off 9-19 shooting. Kevin Durant also continued his hot playoff shooting with 29 points of his own, including some big shots down the stretch. The Warriors and the Rockets are the provisional favorites to win the title, so whoever wins will be the frontrunner for the championship.

The Rockets haven’t won a title since 1995, and a championship would be a great addition to James Harden and Chris Paul’s Hall of Fame resumes. The game was tight till the very end, but the Warriors were able to prevail 115-109. Hopefully, the Harden injury isn’t too bad and he’ll be 100% before game 3. The Rockets will be able to redeem themselves this Saturday at the Toyota Center on ABC. This series is must watch basketball, so don’t miss it!
