CROSS COUNTRY:

The Boys Cross Country team went out to Brenham September 25. The Varsity finished among the top teams lead by Alec Waldschdimt and Jacob Nava. Varsity B was lead by Luke Edgmon, Raymond Martinez and Michael Pham. While JV had a series of young guys step up and lead the way.

The Girls Cross Country team competed in the Clear Creek Invitational last Friday, September 25 and ran extremely well against some of the top ranked teams in the region. Leading the pack was Theresa McComiskey finishing 9th overall for the Longhorns. Ruhi Patel rounded placed 19th overall and earned a medal as well on behalf of the Longhorns. Katia Davis and Payton Rouse sprinted their way to the end placing top 35 and earning a personal best time. Parker McCarley and Jasmine Frechel placed top 50 and Lauren Nguyen also competed and placed top 60 to set a season best as well.   Girls JV ran well as Hayley Lindstrom ran a personal and season best 2 mile of 15:39 and placed top 40 for the Longhorns. Stephanie Trevino and Colette Knoblauch also ran personal bests this weekend. The girls have two more meets until they compete at their district championships.
