The Longhorn varsity softball team competed in the first game of the bi-district series last night against Friendswood. The Longhorns three first inning runs built an early lead to help bring home a 6-3 victory over Friendswood. Lulu Nowak tripled and racked up two RBI’s on one hit. Kayte Martinez also picked up two RBI’s on the night and Alyssa Curts got one. Stephanie Money was also successful at the plate with two hits. Natasha Cabucio racked up six strikeouts and allowed one earned run on three hits and three walks over seven innings of work.
