With Halloween approaching faster and faster as October passes by, here’s a few spooky movies to get you in a haunted mood

With Halloween approaching, here’s a few scary movies to check out to celebrate the season!

You’re Next (2011)

“You’re Next” features a scary group of masked murderers hunting a wealthy family while they celebrate their parent’s wedding anniversary in a mansion in the middle of the woods. Featuring chilling antagonists, scary murder scenes, and an overall interesting plot, “You’re Next” is one of the best horror flicks of this generation.

 

Coraline (2009)

Coraline is a classic, titillating animated movie that shows Coraline Jones moving into The Pink Palace, a house where no children have been allowed to live for years. As she explores the house, she discovers a door that leads her into another, more perfect universe. In this universe, she has an “Other Mother” who might not be as good as she seems.

 

Hocus Pocus (1993)

Hocus Pocus takes place in the town of Salem, the town having a long history of witchcraft within the town. As Halloween arrives, the main character, Max, wanders into an old witch’s house, lighting an ancient candle that brings three witches back from the dead.

Halloween (2018)

The latest installment in the “Halloween” franchise focuses on an elderly Laurie Strode facing off against the deadly Michael Myers once again.

Scream (1996)

Scream features a scary masked murderer hunting a group of kids in a high school. The real killer(s) might just surprise you.

 

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

A group of friends head out to an old family home in Texas, discovering a group of crazy murderers living next door. “Leatherface” starts picking the group off one by one.
