The George Ranch Speech and Debate team attended the Lamar Consolidated Invitational and had multiple students receive awards. In Original Oratory, Adaugo Njoku received second place, Merrit Johnson received third, and Alejandro Rodrigues received fifth. In Dramatic Interpretation, Ashley Coffman received third place and Morgan Lindsey received sixth place. In Prose, Ashley Coffman received sixth place and Adaugo Njoko received fourth place. The team of Morgan Lindsey and Peyton Huessner received fifth place in Duo Interpretation.

Senior Ashley Coffman and sophomore Merritt Johnson are now qualified for the Texas Forensic Association state competition in May.
